The Badger Aquatics Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Badger Aquatics Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

TRAINING GROUPS:
** Below are brief descriptions of our various practice groups that should give you an idea of where your swimmer might fit within the Badger Aquatic Club program. However, all final decisions regarding group placement will be made by the coaching staff. If you have any questions about which group is right for your child, please contact us!
LITTLE BADGERS (typically 6 to 8 yr. olds)
Description: The Little Badgers group is perfect for young swimmers looking for an introduction into competitive swimming. Designed as ‘competitive-based swim lessons’, these practices focus on learning all four competitive strokes in a fun teaching environment. (Little Badgers are not USA Swimming registered, but will have competitive opportunities through intra-squad meets.)
Objectives: Teaching the fundamentals of all four competitive strokes, along with the basic skills of competitive swimming, within a fun and engaging atmosphere.
Training: Two days per week - registration is done in 6 week sessions
Fall Session 1: 9/17-10/20 $90 (5+ week session)
Fall Session 2: 10/22-12/02 $90 (5+ week session)

RED TRAINING GROUP (typically 7 to 9 yr. olds)
Description:The Red program is the beginning of age-group training. The major focus is on development of strokes in a fun environment while introducing training that will promote more advanced swimming in later years.
Objectives: The Red group builds on those basic skills learned in our Little Badger program, and begins to incorporate them more into a traditional 'swim practice' environment. This is all done with the aim of improving each swimmer’s physical swimming abilities while promoting the enjoyment of swimming.
Training: Three days per week + Sat.

GOLD TRAINING GROUP (typically 8 to 10 yr. olds)
Description:The Gold program training group’s major focus is on the continuing development of strokes while beginning an emphasis on training that will promote more advanced swimming in later years.
Objectives: A continued emphasis on stroke techniques while working on developing aerobic cardiovascular conditioning. This is all done within an environment that is focused on improving each swimmer’s physical swimming abilities and promoting the enjoyment of swimming.
Training: Four practices a week + Sat. offered.
FALL FEES: $375.00 PER SESSION
+ $45 per session family admin fee

MIDDLE SCHOOL TRAINING GROUP (typically middle school age)
Description:The Middle School group is perfect for swimmers who are fairly new to year-round swimming, or are looking for a USA Swimming experience with less commitment than our 'Junior' groups.
Objectives: A strong emphasis on technique and stroke development while working on developing aerobic cardio-vascular conditioning. The aim is to improve their overall swimming abilities while introducing them into aspects of higher-level swimming.
Training: Four practices a week + Sat. offered
FALL FEES: $335.00 PER SESSION

JR BLUE TRAINING GROUPS (typically 11 & 12 yr. olds)
Description:The Blue program is a transitional group bridging the age-group level and Junior Green. Continuing the development of strokes and progressing more into training levels that will promote a higher level of swimming.
Objectives: Consistent level of training aimed at improving each swimmers¹ physical and mental abilities while working towards great performances at a season ending meet. The Junior Blue group will spend considerable time on stroke development and aerobic conditioning.
Training: Six days per week. During the summer months there will be at least three long course workouts per week.

JUNIOR GREEN TRAINING GROUP ( typically 13 & 14 yr. olds)
Description:The JR Green program is the highest age-group level at BAC. Its focus is working toward moving into the Senior level of the team, and has great expectations on the swimmers both in dedication of training and in being the team leaders and role models for the rest of the team.
Objectives: Consistent level of training aimed at improving each swimmers¹ physical and mental abilities and working towards great performances at a season ending meet.
The Junior Green group will be working towards advancing their skills so as to advance to the senior level programming within two years.
Training: Four to Six days per week. long course will include double workouts twice per week.

Starting 9/2012 we will only offer the two choices above for high school boy swimmers.
HIGH SCHOOL BOYS GROUP:
Description: The High School program is one of the highest levels at BAC and has great expectations on the swimmers both in dedication of training and in being the team leaders and role models for the rest of the TEAM.
Requirements: There are Swim Meet and Practice expectations. We will expect the HS Option 1 group to compete in all BAC home meets and to work the 12-Under State meet and then swim at the Wisconsin 13-Over state meet. Other meets will be discussed with each swimmer.
Objectives: Consistent level of training aimed at improving each swimmers physical and mental capability
HIGH SCHOOL BOYS

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS GROUP:
Description:The High School program is one of the highest levels at BAC and has great expectations on the swimmers both in dedication of training and in being the team leaders and role models for the rest of the TEAM.
Requirements: There are Swim Meet and Practice expectations. We will expect the HS girls training group to start up at least two weeks after they are released from their HS teams and to compete in all BAC home meets. Other meets and practice schedules will be worked on during a meeting with each swimmer and Drew.
Objectives: Consistent level of training aimed at improving each swimmers physical and mental capability.
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS
Fall/Winter: 11/12/12-3/3/13 (16 weeks) $640.00

SENIOR GIRLS GROUP:
Description: The Senior program is the highest level at BAC and has the greatest expectations/requirements on the swimmers both in dedication of training and in being the team leaders and role models for the rest of the TEAM. There are Swim Meet and Practice expectations.
Requirements: Girls that were competing for their high school’s that are in the SR training group to start up right after they are released from their HS teams and to compete in the WGLO meet and in all BAC home meets. Other meets and practice schedules will be worked on during a meeting with each swimmer and Drew.
Objectives: Consistent level of training aimed at improving each swimmers physical and mental abilities and working towards great performances at a season ending meet.
Training: Up to five or six days per week. Short course can include AM work outs. Long course will include PM work outs.
SENIOR GIRLS:
Fall/Winter: $680.00 - 11/12/12-3/3/13 (16 weeks)

COLLEGE SWIMMERS(summer only) $265.00 - Must have completed one year of college.
